Terms of service

These terms apply when you download or use Wispr Craft (the app) or this website. By doing so you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Who we are

Wispr Craft is made and published by Jitterstack Ltd (“Jitterstack”, “we”).

2. Your licence

We give you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download, install and use official builds of Wispr Craft on computers you own or control, for personal or business use. Jitterstack keeps all rights in Wispr Craft, its name, logo and artwork. Parts of the app are made of other people's software and models, which stay under their own licences (for example Whisper and Moonshine under MIT, and NVIDIA Parakeet under CC BY 4.0, © NVIDIA).

You agree not to: resell the app as your own, remove its notices, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

3. Your content

What you dictate, write and record belongs to you. It is processed and stored on your computer, and we do not see it. We claim no rights in it.

4. Recording conversations

The meetings feature can record the microphone and the sound of your computer. Many places require everyone in a conversation to agree to being recorded or transcribed. You are responsible for telling the people involved and for following the laws and rules that apply to you. Do not use the app to record people who have not agreed where consent is required.

5. Other services

If you turn on online mode with your own key, you deal directly with that service and its terms, and you pay any charges it makes. We are not a party to that and do not control it. Meeting apps and other programs the app works alongside are not ours.

6. No warranty

Wispr Craft is provided free of charge and “as is”. Speech recognition can make mistakes, and summaries and action items are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete: please check anything important. We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.

7. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Jitterstack is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data arising from your use of Wispr Craft, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for it, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes and ending

We may update the app, this website and these terms, and may stop offering the app. If the terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Jitterstack Ltd is registered, and the courts there can settle disputes, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be changed by contract.
