Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit

Run the installer.
If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway. The installer is not code-signed yet.
Follow the short setup: pick a microphone and download a speech model once.

Prefer no warning? Paste this in PowerShell. It downloads the same installer:

macOS 11 or newer

Not sure? Apple menu, then About This Mac. “Chip: Apple M…” means Apple Silicon.

Open the downloaded file and drag Wispr Craft to Applications.
If macOS says the app is “damaged”, it is only the missing signature. Open Terminal and run this once, then open the app again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Wispr Craft.app"
Allow the microphone, Accessibility and Input Monitoring when it asks.

Easiest, with no warning: open Terminal and paste this. It downloads the right file for your Mac and installs it:

Upgrading keeps your settings, notes and history.
Hold Ctrl + Win on Windows or Control + Option on a Mac to dictate. You can change the shortcut under General in the app.
Audio is never saved, only the text. You can erase everything under Privacy in the app.
To remove it, uninstall it like any other app: Settings, then Apps on Windows, or drag it to the Bin on a Mac.
